The templates use MT’s categories to group photos into galleries. The only means of adding additional meta data (description, longer title, custom css, etc.) to a Category in MT is to use the Category Description field. The templates take advantage of Brad Choate’s KeyValues plugin to break this field into multiple separately-accessible chunks.
