Telecom New Zealand: Bt Wholesale
built 185 days ago
Telecom New Zealand and TelstraClear have signed a wholesale wireless agreement which will allow TelstraClear to launch as a national mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). TelstraClear plans to launch its own branded mobile service later this year; the firm’s CEO, Allan Freeth, said: ‘Our customers can look forward to a unique TelstraClear service, with new TelstraClear branded handsets, bundles and pricing plans that are different to those offered by other players today.’ TelstraClear recently ended a similar mobile roaming agreement with New Zealand’s other cellular operator, Vodafone.
June 28: Telecom announces that Dr Paul Reynolds, then CEO of BT Wholesale has been selected to replace Theresa Gattung as the new CEO. His employment will commence on 27 September.[6] Simon Moutter has been appointed as acting CEO in the interim.[7]
TNZ’s enterprise mobility offers are superior to competitors in New Zealand. However, in many areas offers do not match those of larger international rivals. TNZ’s integration of ICT solutions is advanced, but segmentation and product innovation are generally limited due to scale. This is a consequence of its relatively small size, and to remain competitive TNZ must therefore continue to develop partnerships with international players such as Sprint, BT and advanced application providers.
