Tara Maclay, 21, was Willow's girlfriend, and she slowly became integrated into the gang after she began dating Willow in Season 4. Tara's mother died when Tara was 17, and Tara seemingly inherited her power as a witch. Tara's birthdate was roughly November 7, 1980. The Maclay family, an odd and old-fashioned bunch, have a family legend — designed to keep the womenfolk in line — that the female members turn into demons at age 20 or so. Thanks to Spike, Tara found out that this was a lie, after much agonizing about the demon she thought was inside her. Tara was shy and nervous around new people and tends to stutter when talking with them, but this usually faded once she got to know them. She helped the gang many times — most notably, she was the one who realized that Buffy was not Buffy when Faith took over Buffy's body; she ... helped conjure the katra needed to switch the bodies back again.

Tara Maclay is a fictional character on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer played by Amber Benson. Tara was a witch introduced in the series' fourth season. She met Willow Rosenberg at a meeting of the Wicca group at USC Sunnydale. The two struck up a friendship which eventually turned romantic.

Tara Maclay played by Amber Benson is a witch and Willow's girlfriend. The 2 have done many spells together and are powerful witches. After Tara's brain was sucked by Glory it was Willow who reversed that spell. Tara is not so amused by Willow using magic all the time - speaking of very powerful spells. She accidentally got killed by Warren which led to Willow going all evil.

Tara Maclay was introduced to Buffy the Vampire Slayer in Season 4. When the Scoobies started at UC Sunnydale, Willow, after seeking council from a Wicca group (an event that completely disappointed Willow), met Tara. They started talking and hanging out together, learning that their magic was stronger if they worked on it together. They started doing spells together and all was going well. Then Oz, Willow's former boyfriend returned and their relationship would be put into question. But after discussion by the two, Willow decided to stay with Tara.

Tara dropped the box with a little scream, a jumble of items falling out on to the floor, and clattering onto the concrete. She peered into the gloom, heart thumping. An indistinct figure was standing in the shadow in front of her, clasping some mysterious object in its arms.
