There are two standard packages available to the consumer by most ISPs. They are “burstable” T1 lines and “dedicated” T1 lines. Burstable T1 lines do not give you the full amount of bandwidth, because either it is capped and shared with other consumers, or the facilities are not capable of guarantying the speed of transfer due to poor peering or poor bandwidth qualities.
