The ET4000 is a single-chip switch device supporting 24 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports and four Gigabit SerDes ports. The ET4100 is a single-chip switch device supporting 24 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports, with four Gigabit SerDes ports and two 10 Gb/s Ethernet ports. The ET4001 is a single-chip switch device supporting 48 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports and four Gigabit SerDes ports. The ET4101 is a single-chip switch device supporting 48 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports, four Gigabit SerDes ports and two 10 Gb/s Ethernet ports.

The BCM5324 joins Broadcom's next generation ROBOswitch™ family and is a full-featured Layer 2 managed switch. Based on seven generations of field-proven Ethernet switch design, the single-chip BCM5324 integrates a 24-port 10/100 Megabit per second (Mbps) FE switch with two GbE MACs as well as 24-port 10/100 Mbps PHY transceivers, an industry first. The FE ports can support up to 24 workgroup desktop users and the GbE ports can be used as connections to file servers or uplinks. This makes the 24 FE port plus two GbE port switch one of the most popular configurations for the SMB deployment.

The BigIron RX-series family includes three chassis models, each supporting redundant management, redundant switch fabric and redundant power supply components. The BigIron RX-4 is a compact four rack unit (RU) high switch. It supports four half-slot port modules and has a switching capacity of 384 gigabits per second (Gbps). The BigIron RX-8 is seven rack units in height, supports eight half-slot port modules and has a switching capacity of 768 gigabits per second. The BigIron RX-16 is fourteen rack units in height supports, sixteen half-slot port modules and has a switching capacity of 1.536 terabits per second. With its low profile design, the BigIron RX-16 switch can be stacked three high in a single seven-foot rack providing for as many as 192 wire-speed 10-GE ports.

This switch loads the kernel debugger when you start the operating system. The switch remains inactive until a Stop message error occurs. /crashdebug is useful if you experience random kernel errors. With this switch, you can use the COM port for normal operations while Windows is running. If Windows crashes, the switch converts the port to a debug port. (This action turns on remote debugging.)
