The Suzuki Forenza was introduced in the 2004 model year. The Reno hatchback was introduced in the 2005 model year, and both cars received side airbags and advanced frontal airbags in 2005.

The cabin of the Suzuki Forenza is compromised by inconsistent materials quality and an overall lack of refinement and execution compared with the leaders in its class. There's better news out back, though, with lots of rear legroom for adults and a 60/40-split-folding seatback for extra utility. The Forenza sedan's trunk capacity is a reasonable 12.4 cubic feet, and the wagon offers a useful 62 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat folded.

With a redesigned Italian style front fascia featuring the new Suzuki grille and an upgraded interior, the Forenza entered the 2006 model year without much industry excitement or acclaim. Although the cabin was spacious and attractive, materials were substandard in comparison to other economy cars. Power and performance were again both lacking when compared to other small cars, yet it could still get you where you wanted to go with some impressive safety and convenience features without draining your bank account.
