Suzanne Pleshette: Batman Tv
built 655 days ago
Pleshette kept working through the '80s. She made numerous TV movies, and she ... completed one of her last feature films, 1980's OH GOD! BOOK II. She returned to television in three new sitcoms, but none of them were hits. She also returned to Broadway for SPECIAL OCCASIONS. The play had 26 previews and closed after only one performance, but Pleshette received good reviews, as usual.

Suzanne was the first choice of the proucers of the Batman TV series to play Catwoman. Christ, she would have FABULOUS. Julie Newmar was always the best Catwoman ever. She was far superior to any of the other women who played that character IMO. In either medium.

Off-camera, Ms. Pleshette was known for being what an Orlando Sentinel reporter once described as "an earthy dame, an Auntie Mame who isn't afraid to tell a dirty story." Or, as TV Guide put it in 1972: "Her conversations -- mostly meandering monologues -- are sprinkled with aphorisms, anecdotes, salty opinions and X-rated expletives."
