Susan Hayward is Professor of Cinema Studies at Exeter University. She is the author of several books (French National Cinema, Luc Besson, Simone Signoret: The Star as Cultural Sign, Les Diaboliques, Cinema Studies: The Key Concepts) Currently she is working on a book for Intellect Press on The French Costume Drama of the 1950s. She is the founder and co-editor with Phil Powrie of the specialised film journal Studies in French Cinema (with Intellect).
Susan Hayward is Chair of Cinema Studies and Director of Film Studies at the University of Exeter. She is the author of numerous books on French Cinema ('Les Diaboliques' [2006]; 'French National Cinema' [2005]; 'Simone Signoret: The Star as Cultural Sign' [2004]; 'Luc Besson' [1998]) she is ... the author of the successful 'Cinema Studies: The Key Concepts' [2005] (now in its third edition).
