Verizon SuperPages.com has unveiled a new pay-per-call offering as a component of its local and national sales strategy for online marketing products, ClickZ reports (via MediaBuyerPlanner). As with other pay-per-call services, each ad gets a dedicated toll-free or local telephone number that rings through to the advertiser's regular phone line. Each qualified call will cost advertisers $2 to $6, depending on the business category.

Verizon unveiled its advanced version of SuperPages On the Go today at the annual BREW Developers Conference in San Diego. The new application is available on Verizon Wireless LG6000, 4600 and 4500 phones. Consumers can download Verizon SuperPages On the Go for $1.25 for daily use or $2.49 a month for unlimited usage – about the cost of two directory assistance calls.

Consumers can rate any business among the 18 million-plus business profiles, alerting others to the hairdresser with the heavenly touch or that plumber from hell. Those in search of local businesses can click to read any available reviews among search results.
