In relation to other heroes one year after the Infinite Crisis, Batman helped create Wonder Woman's new identity, Diana Prince, and has begun screening other heroes for candidacy in the new Justice League of America along with Superman and Wonder Woman. Recently in Justice League of America #2, Superman and Wonder Woman privately conversed while Batman took a call from Commissioner Gordon and voted between the two of them whether Batman himself should be included in the new League. Their explanations and voting results have not been given, as the story is currently ongoing.

In 1973 Siegel and Shuster again launched a suit claiming ownership of Superman, this time basing the claim on the Copyright Act of 1909 which saw copyright granted for 28 years but allowed for a renewal of an extra 28 years. Their argument was that they had granted DC the copyright for only 28 years. The pair again lost this battle, both in a district court ruling of October 18, 1973 and an appeal court ruling of December 5, 1974.[48]

Inconsistencies persist for nearly twenty years... regarding the coloring of the insignia on Superman's cape. Missing entirely from Superman's costume in a number of texts, it is sometimes portrayed as a blue "S" on a yellow shield, sometimes as a yellow "S" on a blue shield, sometimes as a yellow "S" on a red shield, sometimes as a red "S" on a yellow shield, and sometimes as a yellow "S" on a yellow shield.
