Super Star Wars: Games
built 152 days ago
By the third game in the Super Star Wars series, the developers were becoming quite proficient recreating the Star Wars universe on the SNES. Easily the best game in this 16-bit trilogy, Super Return of the Jedi's only major problem had nothing to do with inherent design flaws, it had to do with the fact that by the time this game was released, next-gen fever was thoroughly under way. While the smell of more videogame processing horsepower may have slightly dampened this game's release in the fall of '94, it's quite a revelation to go back to it now.

super star wars, snes While side-scrolling shooters aren’t for everyone, Super Star Wars delivers a good Star Wars experience and a pretty good game, too. Even though it can be tougher than nails at some sections.
Super Star Wars is the first of a series of three Super Nintendo games based on the original three films of the Star Wars series. The term Super Star Wars can refer to the first game or to all three games collectively. All three are essentially platform games, although they all have stages which feature other challenges, such as driving a landspeeder or piloting an X-wing. All three games ... feature multiple playable characters with different abilities.

Although these novels are licensed by Lucas (meaning he shares in the royalties), he retains ultimate creative control over the Star Wars universe, forcing Lucas Licensing to devote considerable ongoing effort to ensuring continuity between different authors' works and Lucas' films. Occasionally, elements from these novels are adopted into the highest tier of Star Wars canon, the movies. Books, games, and stories that are not directly derived from the six movies of Star Wars are known as the Extended or Expanded Universe (EU for short). Lucas has said that he does not deeply involve himself in the EU, choosing instead to concentrate mainly on his movies instead of "…the licensing world of the books, games and comic books."
Super Star Wars The Star Wars universe was in hibernation for a few years after the excitement of Return of the Jedi subsided. In the early 90’s the juggernaut slowly awoke and new Star Wars games and merchandise started to appear. One of the first games to help usher in the next wave of Star Wars games was Super Star Wars for the Super Nintendo. This side scrolling adventure followed the movie, although it took some liberties when creating levels and boss creatures to fight. As the game progressed, players got to drive landspeeders, explore a Jawa sandcrawler and eventually wield a lightsaber.
Game Description: In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Jedi Outcast features rebel agent Kyle Katarn in exhilarating first-person action. Players assume the role of Kyle as they employ a unique mix of weapons, Force powers, and the lightsaber in both single- and multiplayer modes. Jedi Outcast features expanded and enhanced use of the lightsaber, with new attack and defense moves. Tap into the powers of the Force, including jump, push, and Jedi mind tricks. Employ combat or stealth, depending on the situation. When a fight is necessary, be at the ready with an arsenal of weapons: stun baton, Bryar blast pistol, and blaster rifle to name but a few.
