Based on Return of the Jedi, the third film in the original Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars: Super Return of the Jedi lets you control five different characters: Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Wicket the Ewok. At the beginning of each mission, you must select one of the available freedom fighters. Each of the Rebel heroes has his or her own skills, weapons and abilities. For example, Luke brandishes a lightsaber and Leia has a blaster pistol. While disguised as bounty hunter Boushh, Leia wields a staff weapon.

The line "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.…", which appears at the beginning of every Star Wars film, is the only way the Star Wars galaxy has been defined in relation to the real world. It is alluding to the classic fairy tale line "Once upon a time, in a land far, far away…" and variations thereof. It may reflect that the films are to be interpreted as the myths of the future, as opposed to literally meaning that the events take place in the past. Lucas himself intentionally left the details open to interpretation.[1]
