Defensive tackle Bob Lilly was dominant, locking down his side of the ball, and his first-quarter sack of Griese became a Super Bowl record. After chasing Griese all over the field, Lilly finally got a hold of the quarterback, sacking him for the record 29-yard loss.

A gaggle of pastel shirt-wearing fans flooded the field just prior to Alicia Keys performance and surrounded the stage, a common occurrence for Super Bowl performances. The fans around the stage looked far more enthusiastic about Keys' performance than most fans in the stands.
