Sulfur: Plants
built 656 days ago
Sulfur occurs in plants as a constituent of proteins (e.g. cystine) and of certain volatile compounds such as mustard oil. It seems to be connected with chlorophyll formation although it is not a constituent of this substance.

Plant analysis is an excellent tool to use for detecting Sulfur problems. With it you can identify deficiencies, plus imbalances such as N:S and P:S ratios that may be a problem. Plant analysis is ... useful if used to determine if enough sulfur is being taken up from soils shown to be borderline or low in the soil analysis results.
