The SuicideGirls website and concept was created by SG Services, Inc. the company's founding partners "Sean Suicide" (Sean Suhl) and "Missy Suicide" (Selena Mooney) in late 2001, and based in Portland, Oregon. In 2003, the site operations moved to Los Angeles, California. They perhaps facetiously claim they started the site "just to see hot punk rock girls naked." Mooney has ... stated that the purpose of the site is to give women control over how their sexuality is depicted. The site is privately co-owned by Steve Simitzis (server admin and SG user, "s5") and his wife Olivia Ball (site programmer and SuicideGirl, "Olivia").

It starts off with an introduction to the Suicide Girls by their founder, Missy Suicide. The group is built around feminism, individual expression, and the redefinition of what is considered beautiful. There is something that sets these women apart from what you generally see for this type of entertainment. Tattoos and body piercings abound as these women hail from the alternative side of body adornment.

SUICIDE GIRLS began in a coffee shop in Portland, Ore., one unceremonious afternoon when two friends were discussing, as friends often do, how to get rich off the Internet. And as friends often do, these two, who call themselves Missy and Spooky Suicide, came to the conclusion that when it comes to making money, there's only one surefire strategy: showing some skin.

The DVD features a few outtakes from an interview with Missy Suicide, the founder of the suicide girls, occasionally (and hilariously) having trouble forming sentences. There is ... some humorous footage of the girls playing a prank on a coworker, as well as the music video for the song “Shake Your Blood” by Probot.
