Sugar Gliders: Nights
built 634 days ago
Some breeders have observed that their sugar gliders will occasionally eat very little for 2 or 3 nights, and then return to their normal feeding habits. If your glider gets fussy about its food, don’t be too concerned until it goes on for longer than that.
Unlike rodents, sugar gliders' teeth do not constantly grow and therefore do not need to be trimmed or floated. DO NOT let your vet do this! One thing to watch out for is your glider's nails - they will grow too long if left untrimmed. You can either manually trim their nails with clippers or use a trim-trax in their wheel, a mesh-covered sandpaper strip (~800 grain) that is used 3 or so nights a week to keep their nails in check.
