When using the Clipping/Subsetting tool, there are a couple of options to create a subset. The output image can be any supported Geogateway compatible data type and does not need to be a PIX file format. There is ... the option to create file subsets by entering coordinates for your subset or you can use a visual clipping method using the bounding outline in the Clip File panel preview window.

In 2001, Subset brought a whole new group of songs to producer John Croslin (The Reivers, Mates of State, Guided By Voices), ready for recording at Porchlight in the fall of 2001. These recordings turned into Dueling Devotions, Subset's best studio work to date, merging their talent for writing catchy pop songs with the ability to define their own unique sound. Hook-laden rock songs are intertwined with contemplative mid-tempo arrangements that evoke emotion without using the first three nasty letters. With Dueling Devotions, Subset ride the tenuous line of writing catchy, intelligent pop songs without resorting to the emotional bleeting or lyrical patronization that is so prevalent in the genre. The Subset > Add Columns to Subset menu command opens the Add to Subset dialog. The currently selected column is the first of the group of columns to be added to a subset. Columns with names containing specified characters can be added to the other subset at the same time. The subset can be any single letter or number. Columns can be assigned to any number of subsets. The subset names and the column name are separated by \ characters.

Austin, Texas's Subset (not to be confused with the Sir Mix-A-Lot/Presidents of the United States of America project of the same name) makes effortlessly catchy pop music. Lindsay Simon (vocals, guitar, bass, keys) and Nathan Fish (vocals, bass, guitar, keys) formed the band in February 1999 with the help of their faithful friend Justin the Drum Machine and soon released a seven-inch, "Circuitis," in early '99. After a bitter fight, human drummer Tom Hudson (Silver Scooter) replaced Justin and Subset's lineup was complete.

Friends since highschool and bandmates since college, Fish and Simon formed Subset in Austin, Texas, in February of 1999. Soon after, Subset released their first 7inch single, Circuitis. At the Circuitis release show former Silver Scooter drummer, Tom Hudson, asked to join the band. In June of 2000, Post Parlo released Subset¹s first LP, Overpass. Following some encouraging CMJ charting on airwaves across the country, Subset supported the first album playing shows around Texas with the likes of Spoon, Solex, and the Rock*A*Teens as well as the CMJ Music Festival and SXSW.

From the specified set, the Subset function returns a subset that contains the specified number of tuples, beginning at the specified start position. The start position is based on a zero-based index; that is, zero (0) corresponds to the first tuple in the specified set, 1 corresponds to the second, and so on.
