Students seeking hands-on experience with the latest technology for the design, engineering, and creation of manufacturing equipment, need look no further than Miami-Dade Community College. Its School of Computer Information Systems and Design Technology has won a grant from Electronic Data Systems (NYSE: EDS - News; EDS) for an EDS PLM Solutions' Unigraphics® system valued at $7,624,357. This package of software and hardware, to be installed at the Emerging Technologies Center of the Americas (ETCOTA) but presented college-wide, will provide state-of-the- art computer-integrated manufacturing capability, with many extras.
