The Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (or CSLI) serves as a primary resource for students to get involved on campus and develop leadership skills. CSLI serves as the University’s approval authority and liason to officially registered student organizations.

Iowa State University has over 600 registered student groups and several honorary organizations, all of which offer leadership opportunities. Students can serve in elected or appointed positions or as members of various committees. These organizations reflect a wide range of interests, including politics, recreation, religion, music, and sports.

This Institute prepares first year students to take on leadership roles at USF. It will be a fun, interactive experience that will take place at Lake Aurora Retreat Center in Lake Wales, FL. Meals, transportation, and lodging is all included

Omicron Delta Kappa, The National Leadership Honor Society, was founded December 3, 1914, at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia, by fifteen student and faculty leaders. In the tradition of the idealism and leadership of George Washington and Robert E. Lee, the founders formulated the idea that leadership of exceptional quality and versatility in college should be recognized, that representatives in all phases of college life should cooperate in a worthwhile endeavor, and that outstanding students, faculty and administration members should meet on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness.

The second most common complaint that student leaders make is that they don't know what to do. So if you don't have job descriptions yet it maybe time to get them on paper. (Be patient if it is the first time the computer you access it from has been to that site. A blue screen will come up first before a colourful graphic picture. It will quick next time you use it.)

The student leader of the group is responsible for submitting the original delivery receipt following the event along with a completed Request for Funds form signed by the group's advisor. The Request for Funds form must be stapled to the front of delivery receipt and left in the "Leave Request for Funds here" tray on the wall behind Charmaine Walker's desk.
