"Strike Fleet ist ein 1987 von LucasArts entwickeltes und von Elektronischen Künsten veröffentlichtes Computerspiel. Es wurde für den Amiga, Apfel II, Atari-ST, Commodore 64, und DOS freigegeben. Strike Fleet ist die inoffizielle Folge zum Kriegsspiel PHM-Pegasus. Der Spieler kontrolliert entweder die amerikanischen oder britischen Flotten über dem Verlauf von zehn Szenarien, von dem der letzt vier können als eine einzelne Kampagne gespielt werden. Der Spieler muss gegen die Marine und Luftwaffe von verschiedenen anderen Nationen einschließlich Argentiniens, der Sowjetunion, und dem Iran kämpfen. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the commander of the fleet, was tasked with constructing a plan to strike down the American fleet in surprise, crippling the fleet so much that Japan would be able to dominate the Pacific. While Yamamoto truly believed that it was possible to surprise the American Pacific Fleet and destroy all the battleships and carriers with one quick strike, he was an opponent to the idea of attacking the United States. He believed that unless Japan had a way to march her armies straight to Washington DC, it was not wise to engage in war with United States for an extended period of time. Nevertheless, he carried on his duties and devised a plan with his staff. In October 1941, the Japanese naval general staff gave final approval to Yamamoto's general plan of attack. In November 1941, he added Pearl Harbor to the list of targets.

COMCARGRU SIX operates under the administrative control of Commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, and under the operational control of Commander, Second Fleet for national operations and Commander, Strike Fleet Atlantic for NATO operations. COMCARGRU SIX exercises administrative control over ships, a Carrier Air Wing, and Tactical Destroyer Squadrons assigned to COMCARGRU SIX and is frequently designated as a Battle Group Commander. In this capacity, he is responsible for the operational employment of assigned forces. When embarked in an aircraft carrier assigned to another Battle Group, COMCARGRU SIX is responsible for the operational readiness of his flagship and providing the senior Battle Group Commander with pertinent information on his flagship’s operational readiness.

Strike Fleet is the unofficial sequel to PHM Pegasus which was developed by Lucasfilm Games in 1987. But instead of simulating hydrofoils you can now command a complete fleet of war ships into several missions. These missions are related to political events that were of interest when the first version of the game was released in 1987.
