Strategic Command - European Theater is WWII strategy at its best. As the supreme commander of the Axis or Allied forces, the player shapes the fates of the nations at war during the Second World War in Europe. Political options, research and upgrade of equipment, management of supply and resources and the strategic employment of one's armed forces are some of the keys to success. With limited phase restrictions and wide open turns you are in complete control to try many different approaches and entertain just as many possible outcomes. The future of Europe and perhaps ultimate glory is in your hands.

Fans of Battlefront and Fury’s Strategic Command 2 game have good reason to celebrate the holidays early. SC2’s first expansion pack, Weapons and Warfare was released in late October. The expansion features new unit types, road and rail movement rules, and several new scenarios. Overall, the new additions round out the game system nicely, making a great game even better. Players who do not have SC2 can purchase a bundle pack, with the base game and WaW, for a discounted price.
Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg If you're a fan of turn-based strategy, Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg should satisfy your yen and then some. It features six campaigns ranging from 1939 to 1944 in 30 different countries, plus 16 unit types from paratroopers to amphibious transports. Gameplay is decidedly Risk-like, with units represented by what look like die-cast metal playing pieces, each with a number on it that shows how many units it represents. The strategies for land and sea battles are almost endless, and turns play out with fun, realistic sound effects. If the enormous single-player game isn't enough, the multiplayer mode will provide even more variations, particularly since the game comes with an editor for designing your own wars from the ground up. Newbie strategists may find the learning curve a bit steep, but strategy experts will appreciate the immediate depth of gameplay.

Headquarters Strategic Air Command, initially located at Andrews Air Force Base MD, moved to Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., in November 1948. Air Force Secretary Stuart Symington chose to locate the Air Force's crucial long-range atomic strike force at Offutt primarily because the base was centrally located on the North American continent, placing it well beyond the existing range of potentially hostile bombers or missiles.
