The Stone Age is the earliest Age in Age of Empires. The Stone Age represents the most basic hunting and gathering for food, basic warfare limited to close combat infantry and the constant struggle for survival. Basic fishing and naval trade exists as well as the construction of basic shelters.
The Stone Age was an ancient time period when people made tools from stone. Wood, bones and other materials were ... being used for tools, but stone (especially a kind of stone called flint) was used to cut things.
Queens of the Stone Age Tickets Queens of the Stone Age (often known as QOTSA or Queens) originally called themselves Gamma Ray, but had to change their name after the German band Gamma Ray threatened a law suit. Though the line up has included such rock icons as Dave Grohl, John McBain and Matt Cameron the current incarnation consists of Joshua Homme on vocals and lead guitar, Joey Castillo on drums, Troy Van Leeuwen on rhythm guitar, lap steel, keyboards and backup vocals, Michael Shuman on bass and back up vocals and Dean Fertita on keyboards, rhythm guitar and backing vocals. As with all rock bands worth their salt, the only way to really appreciate them is to see them live. The band is currently touring in support of their latest album, Era Vulgaris, and Coast to Coast has the tickets you want to be there. Get yours today and rock out to Queens of the Stone Age live in concert!
Modern studies and the in-depth analysis of finds dating from the Stone Age indicate certain rituals and beliefs of the people in those prehistoric times. It is now believed that activities of the Stone Age humans went beyond the immediate requirements of procuring food, body coverings and shelters. Specific rites relating to death and burial were practiced, though certainly differing in style and execution between cultures. Other rituals included birth, puberty and marriage. Several Stone Age-dated sites in different parts of the world indicate traces of dancing, dancing in files and initiation rites.[4]
A Stone Age hunter is wandering down the valley in search of game when he espies a rock-shelter in the side of the rocky cliff above him. Carefully, and with the utmost caution, he climbs up to it, fearful lest he may find that it is occupied by the members of some other Stone Age family who will resent his intrusion, or possibly even that it is the lair of a lion or a cave bear. At last he is close enough, and he sees that it is quite unoccupied, and so he enters and makes a thorough examination. He decides that it is a much more suitable habitation than the little shelter where he and his family are living at present, and he goes off to fetch them.

This very short Neolithic time period, the last part of the Stone Age, was set-up to cover the period from the onset of farming and ending when metal tools came into widespread use. so as to when the next age (Bronze Age) should begin would be a matter of opinion. Metal tools in common use (copper) could have begun as early as 6,000 B.C. within some regions of Europe, Asia and North Africa, effectively eliminating the need to refer to any Neolithic time period at these locations. It could apply to less advanced regions ... like the Americas and the rest of Africa. The Neolithic therefore became a regional matter also.
