The Sting interview will be the first shoot-style interview he's ever done. "Sting: Behind the Paint" is a very compelling piece of video that was a complete monitor sellout in the production truck. The interview will air this Wednesday night. Mike Tenay did an absolutely fantastic job talking with Sting. Look for the Stinger to discuss things he's never talked about in public before. It may sound like a cliché, but this truly is Sting like you've never seen him before.
Sting's return to the ring on March 26, 2001 was an emotional moment for WCW fans. WCW had just been bought by the WWF, and were finished as a company. The Nitro on March 26 was to be the last one ever, and featured surreal clips of Vince McMahon on Raw throughout. Sting brought the show (and WCW) to a close with a classic encounter with Ric Flair. After forcing Flair to tap to The Scorpion Death-Lock, Sting offered his hand to Flair and the two legends embraced in the ring.

During the bout, Sting had Nash pinned after the deathdrop, but AJ Styles and Tomko hit the ring as Karen Angle distracted the referee. To counter Karen Angle, Sharmell came out and attacked Karen! Kevin Nash looked to have Sting beat as he went for the powerbomb, but Angle got in and nailed Nash with the world title! Angle hit the Olympic Slam on Sting to get the win and retain the championship! As the PPV went off the air, it was Kurt Angle victorious joined in the ring by Tomko, AJ Styles and Karen Angle as Christian Cage looked on at the top of the ramp!

Within one week, Sting had received his demands: Ric Flair stood in the ring, waiting for the young upstart to make a move. The match wasn't exactly classic when compared to their later efforts, but for an initial encounter it went over rather well. It wasn't much of a surprise when the Horsemen invaded the ring and caused a DQ finish, but Sting had kept up. He'd matched Flair all the way, overcoming a lack of technical prowess with speed and youthful vigor. Though he didn't walk away with the title, Sting had captured the hearts and souls of millions of fans nationwide. Flair knew the day would come when his experience wouldn't be enough to match up with this young man, and a plan had hatched in the back of his mind.

After what happened at Starrcade ‘95, Sting vs Lex Luger seemed like a strong possibility. However, Sting and Lex Luger began to tag together. They set their goal on Harlem Heat and the WCW World Tag Team Titles. It did not take long for Sting and Luger to capture gold. Sting and Lex Luger defeated Harlem Heat to win the WCW World Tag Team Titles on January 22, 1996 on Monday Nitro. This was the first time Sting had held a Tag Team Title since his UWF days even though he almost won the Belts with Luger in 1988 and 1991.
Discussion forum When the nWo surfaced in 96, Sting vanished from TV screens for a while (His contract was up, and he needed time to heal some injuries) before a Crow started to make an appearance on Nitro. Fans wondered what this was about, until it was revealed: Sting was back, and looking
