The Stereophonics third album finds the Welsh threesome on fine form. Led off by the Top five single 'Mr. Writer', 'J.E.E.P.' is, as you'd expect, a more mature, rounded album than 'Performance and Cocktails'. The first track, 'Vegas Two Times' is powered along by a Black Crowes-ish riff and is possibly the best thing they've done yet. The album that follows rolls along with the momentum of an oil tanker. The pace is noticeably slower than previous albums, but after afew listens the melodies begin to worm their way into your brain.

In Holland they’re ... very popular, their last concert was sold out in an instant.
