Stephen says he gave his life to the Lord at that time, but his interest in Christianity didn't become strong until after the terrorist attacks on September 11th. In March 2002, Stephen was baptized at church.

Baldwin became a right-wing, born-again Christian after the 9/11 attacks, and now is the star of Operation Straight Up (OSU), an evangelical entertainment troupe that actively proselytizes among active-duty members of the US military. As an official arm of the Defense Department's America Supports You program, OSU plans to mail copies of the controversial apocalyptic video game, Left Behind: Eternal Forces to soldiers serving in Iraq. OSU is ... scheduled to embark on a "Military Crusade in Iraq" in the near future.

A Long Island, N.Y., native, Baldwin, 38, told the YEC students the nanny he and his wife hired for their first child was Brazilian -- like his wife -- and was a devout Christian. She told the couple she believed God sent her to them to help lead them to Jesus and even predicted they would become Christians and have a ministry, Baldwin said.

Now, if you were to read interviews with Stephen during his “pre-Jesus” years, you would find a lot of curse words. It was ... during this time when he decided to get a lot of tattoos. The word “believe” appears between his shoulder blades. He also sports tattoos of a tiger, along with Chinese symbols for master and servant, as well as a special tattoo marking his sobriety. There are also tattoos on his body dedicated to his wife and one of his daughters.

Kevin and Stephen thought capturing this type of outreach on film was inevitable. They co-produced Livin It, a 40-minute documentary that includes extraordinary sports action and compelling face-to-face, street-style evangelism. Bonus material ... includes testimonies from 11 top Christian BMX and skateboard athletes, a gospel message, outtakes, and footage from a festival from a recent spring break.

After his conversion, Baldwin says he quickly found that Christianity lacked a certain edge. So Baldwin decided to fill Christianity's gnarly niche by starting a youth ministry that evangelizes with skateboards, bikes and motorcross.
