Splinter of the Mind's Eye. The Star Wars story has been presented in a series of American films, which have spawned a large quantity of books, which have formed the Expanded Universe. The Star Wars mythos is ... the basis of many toys and games of varying types. The films and novels employ common science fiction motifs.
Star Wars: Battlefront was released in 2004 and is a first/third person shooter game capable of online play where you can play in both trilogies on places like Hoth, etc. You can ... play as Republic clone troopers, Rebel soldiers, Confederate Battle Droids, and Imperial Stormtroopers.
Star Wars was influenced by the 1958 Kurosawa film The Hidden Fortress; for instance, the two bickering peasants evolved into C-3PO and R2-D2, and a Japanese family crest seen in the film is similar to the Imperial Crest. Star Wars borrows heavily from another Kurosawa film, Yojimbo. In both films, several men threaten the hero, bragging how wanted they are by authorities. The situation ends with an arm being cut off by a blade. Mifune is offered "twenty-five ryo now, twenty-five when you complete the mission." whereas Han Solo is offered "Two thousand now, plus fifteen when we reach Alderaan."
In the Star Wars Miniatures Game, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Spirit is truly a unique piece. It has no stats other than Cost and three abilities, and its Light Spirit ability dictates its use on the battle grid. As a Light Spirit, this piece ignores all terrain. It can't open doors, be damaged in any way, or provide cover. It doesn't count as a legal target. At the start of the game, you choose a Unique allied character with a Force rating.
Video game pioneer Atari produced arcade games based on the original trilogy, beginning with Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, which were both flight simulator-style games that utilized vector graphics. The third, Return of the Jedi, used more traditional raster graphics and a '3/4' perspective.
The Human Force Adept is the lowest-cost Force-user in the Star Wars Miniatures Game, and the only non-Unique Force-user in this particular set. Fortunately, this Fringe character can fight for any faction. It ... has the most hit points of any unit of equal cost. The Force Adept's high defense score will help it survive long enough to engage enemies in melee combat. Given its low attack score, it might need the extra rounds to succeed.
