Star Wars: Star Wars Galaxies
built 151 days ago
Citizens of Star Wars Galaxies will have even more to enjoy this year as they celebrate Wookiee Life Day across the galaxy in mid-December. Major cities in the galaxy will light up with the dazzling glow of the gigantic Wroshyr Tree, which offers gifts to all who visit it! This year's celebration will feature an incredible visual spectacle centered on the tree itself with its dazzling display of light effects and beautiful holiday melodies performed by the Figrin D'an band to accompany this phenomenal display. Gifts galore will bring the festive air of this fantastic holiday to each and every citizen.
The events of Star Wars take place in the fictional Star Wars galaxy. Each film begins with an "opening crawl" of text that provides a specific context for the events of the film. In each instance, the crawl is preceded by the line, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." (There are four points since 1977 and the first episode. This mistake was kept for the line of all other episodes).

Star Wars: Empire to the Last Man cover. The line "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.…", which appears at the beginning of every Star Wars film, is the only way the Star Wars galaxy has been defined in relation to the real world. It is alluding to the classic fairy tale line "Once upon a time, in a land far, far away…" and variations thereof. It may reflect that the films are to be interpreted as the myths of the future, as opposed to literally meaning that the events take place in the past. Lucas himself intentionally left the details open to interpretation.[1]
[StarWarsShop.com] The seventh CD is Star Wars: The Corellian Edition. This is a collection of the most popular Star Wars themes from all six episodes - on one CD, for the first time. The new recording takes its name from the Corellian System, a fictional group of "core worlds" at the heart of the Star Wars galaxy. The 13- track Corellian Edition CD can be purchased separately. (The stand-alone version, housed in a single jewel case, became available in stores October 2, 2007. Its track lists and credits are printed on a newly designed six-panel, fold-out mini-poster.)

Citing a source "close to BioWare", gaming site Primotech writes that the recently acquired developer may be revisiting the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic universe for an upcoming massively multiplayer online game. The developer's Austin-based spin-off dev house, publicly announced in March of 2006, has already confirmed it is hard at work on an unspecified MMO, but had released little in the way of details since its birth announcement. The rumored Knights of the Old Republic MMO would obviously be set in a time frame with a comfortable distance from its Sony Online Entertainment published sister, Star Wars Galaxies, so potential crossover would be (hopefully) nil.
