The AST notes that these press reports have ... stated that Stan Kroenke has been snapping up scores of individual shareholdings in Arsenal. This is not true. It would have taken just five minutes to look at the share register or check the daily transactions on the PLUS market to see that there has been very little trade in shares in recent weeks and that Kroenke's holding has not changed.

Stan Kroenke is about as self-promoting as David Dein is shy and retiring. In other words, not very. The 59-year-old is an intensely private man who rarely speaks in public, and is known in Denver as "Silent Stanley". So as and when the proposed partnership between Arsenal and Kroenke's MLS team, the Colorado Rapids, comes to fruition, it is safe to say he won't be reaching for the mic to announce it himself.

Stan Kroenke moves to take over Arsenal. This is huge. David Dein has resigned and there is speculation that he will join forces with Kroenke, thereby giving both a 30% share of the club. British law would require them to make a formal bid for the team.
