Sometime next month, Staind will issue a retrospective collection called The Singles, featuring tons of bonus material that Lewis said should tide fans over "while we go away for a minute, and begin working on our next album." The disc will boast all of Staind's singles, as well as a DVD featuring the companion music videos for each track.
000010762 To date, Staind has sold more than 15 million records worldwide, with its last three albums entering the Billboard 200 in the #1 spot. 2005's Chapter V has been certified RIAA platinum and features the single "Right Here," which marked the group's fourth #1 rock radio track.

Stainbrook sued Staind first for "stealing" the name. He's ... forced Lit to change their name from Stain, AND, if memory serves, he also got some out of court settlement from Living Colour over their 1993 album "Stain." This guy is an opportunistic scumbag who sues everyone. Ask anyone in Toledo. Enough already.
220pxvanhalen2007_1 Flip/Atlantic Records has just released Staind's first-ever hits collection entitled The Singles: 1996-2006, along with the simultaneous release of a separate companion DVD, Staind: the Videos. The 16-track recording features such #1 rock radio staples as "It's Been Awhile," "For You," "So Far Away," and "Right Here," along with never-before released live acoustic cover versions of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb," Tool's "Sober," Alice In Chains' "Nutshell," and a live, acoustic version of "Everything Changes." The version of "Outside" appearing on the album is ... the same original cut that was included on the Family Values Tour 1999 with Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst.

By 1995, drummer Jon Wysocki and Johnny April had joined the duo, officially launching Staind. In the beginning Staind did as most bands do – they constantly toured, laid down tracks for their independently released self-titled debut, and opened for more established metal bands. The combination of touring and steady album sales provided Staind the launching point they needed.
Among the top artists on Warner's roster include Madonna, Missy Elliott, Faith Hill, matchbox twenty, Kid Rock, Staind and Metallica. Its recent success include crooner Josh Groban, who recently held the No. 1 position on the album charts.
