Born October 14th, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland, Stacy Keibler naturally gravitated toward physical activity such as dance from childhood. From the age of three she was involved in ballet, tap and jazz dance, her parents making a commitment to go as far as Stacy's talents would take her. The taste for the spotlight while dancing soon spurred an interest in modeling and acting. With her good looks, it was not hard to land modeling gigs in conservative and not-so-conservative publications as she reached adulthood. So she worked as a model and actress as well as a physical therapist technician and a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader before entering the world of wrestling.

Born and raised in Rosedale, Maryland, Stacy Keibler studied ballet, jazz and tap at a dance school nearby in Dundalk. She later became one of the cheerleaders for the Baltimore Ravens, being the youngest of the group. Stacy ... attended Towson University while earning near-perfect grades in Mass Communication. In 1999, she entered a contest held by WCW to become one of their Nitro Girls, which she won. Initially a Nitro Girl, she soon became a valet using the provocative stage name Miss Hancock (originally supposed to have been Miss Handcock), briefly serving as an associate for the tag team of Lenny Lane and Lodi dubbed “Standards and Practices”. Despite wearing business suits, her character would often climb on top of tables and dance for the announcers’ and fans’ approval.

Stacy Keibler got her start as a WCW Nitro Girl in 1999 under the name "Skye". She later became known as Miss Hancock, a secretary for "Standards and Practices", who would be seen taking notes as wrestling matches were in progress. After being used in what many considered a tasteless storyline, she went under her real name Stacy Keibler. When the WWE purchased WCW in 2001, Stacy's contract was retained by the WWE. On June 14th, 2001 Stacy made her WWE Debut on Smackdown. She was a heel at the time in the Alliance, and showed up with the new WCW owner Shane McMahon.

In the earlier years, Stacy Keibler was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens football team, being the youngest of the entire group. She was also a perennial fan favorite, and was active in the team's charity events. After a couple of years of the squad, she left for new beginnings. In '99, Stacy entered a contest held WCW to find another member of Nitro Girls dance troupe – of course, she won.
