Accies suffered their first league defeat of the season on Saturday, when they lost 4-1 to St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park. Accies took an early lead through Stuart Taylor (left), but the Saints came roaring back after the break to score 4 times and deservedly take the points.

[T]hey were made to pay for this miss as St Johnstone raced up the park and Dobbie collected a cross from the right before firing low past Arthur to make it 3-3. An excellent tackle by Grant Murray then denied Scotland a clear shot at goal, before youngster John McGoldrick had the chance for glory but failed to hit the target after being set up by Roberts.

According to her husband, Bob, Moffat's proudest moment was when St. Johnstone gained promotion to the Premier Division after beating Ayr United 2-0 at Somerset Park in 1990. The players gathered in front of the couple at the end of the game and sang to them.[14]
