The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team has expanded its roster by one for the remainder of the season. In connection with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, the Bonnies will welcome Savannah Harvey as the newest member of their family. Savannah will meet the team this weekend for the first time and will be an honorary member of the team for the rest of the season.

Varela spent his last years in the city of St. Augustine, Fla., where he retired due to illness. He died in 1853, but his legacy endures, as two foundations named in his honor carry out his work in Miami and New York. The first day ceremony was held Sept. 15 in Miami, Fla. The stamp issuance helped kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month.
