Swimsuit brand, Speedo’s flagship product, the Speedo is a series of swimwear for men. It’s highly preferred by male professionals from the competitive swimming arena. Though Speedos are a trademark, the term has come into use for any similar looking swimwear for men. Held up by a drawstring of elastic band, a regular speedo has a ‘V-shape’ front and a wide solid back to support the rear. They are skin tight and are worn below the waist. Commonly made out of nylon, lycra or spandex, these swimsuits diminish the drag water effect on the swimmer’s body, therefore eliminating any difficulty felt by a swimmer in terms of speed.

Real men wear speedos. Just because other guys are not fit enough to wear a speedo doesnt mean he has to ruin it for everyone else. Men who wear speedos are clinically proven to be 73.5% straighter then people who wear “normal swimsuits”

Some men are embarrassed by wearing Speedos, particularly in public. Thus they may be used as a tool of humiliation. Pink ones may be particularly embarrassing, because being flesh-coloured they are less noticeable and the wearer may at a casual glance look nude.

The men's swim team from James Madison University stripped down to their Speedos in front of the Department of Education on Thursday in Washington, D.C., in a protest over Title IX regulations. Dozens of athletes, many from JMU, complained that men's teams are sometimes cut by schools trying to reach "proportionality," one of three ways they can comply with the participation requirements of Title IX, the law that bans sex discrimination at schools receiving federal funds.

At school you have to wear speedos, because they make sense. So why the problem when you get to adulthood? OK, lots of guys are out of shape and look awful - but they would look awful whatever they wore, and as others have said there are just as many out of shape women as men - probably more if we are brutally honest.
