Limited Liability Companies filed in the state of South Carolina must endwith LLC, L.L.C. or Limited Liability Company. The LLC name must be distinguishable from that of another LLC or Corporation already on file or reserved in South Carolina. In determining if a company is distinguishable, the Secretary of State will ignore words such as “and”, “the”, “or”, “a”, “an”. The Secretary of state will ... ignore the use of punctuation, spaces and the use of capitals. Also slight changes in the word such as adding “ing” or “ed” will not provide distinction.
The South Carolina Uniform Arbitration Act (“the Act”) states that agreements to arbitrate are “valid, enforceable, and irrevocable, save upon such grounds as exist at law or in equity for the revocation of any contract.”  S.C. Code Ann. § 15-48-10(a) (2005).  Furthermore, South Carolina policy favors arbitrating disputes.  Towles v. United HealthCare Corp., 338 S.C. 29, 34, 524 S.E.2d 839, 842 (Ct. App. 1999).
South Carolina requires most businesses to obtain a business license and pay a fee if operating in the state. Please check with the state to make sure your business is complying with the licence requirements for your particular profession.
