  1. Soul
Soul music is a music genre that combines rhythm and blues and gospel music, originating in the United States. According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, soul is "music that arose out of the black experience in America through the transmutation of gospel and rhythm & blues into a form of funky, secular testifying."[1]
  2. Soul -- Vh1 Soul
VH1 Soul ... airs exclusive Album Release listening parties that spotlight VH1 Soul artists and their new work. Listening parties include airing the new album in its entirety, a block of the artist's music videos back-to-back, artist interviews and live artist performances and concerts. 3. Soul Edge -- Soul Calibur
Once again the presence of Soul Edge drew a host of interesting and colorful warriors, some with deeper stories than most gameplay has ever allowed to be shown. There were characters who knew the swords to be evil, and others who believed it to be the savior of everything they held dear. There was ... Siegfried, who became possessed by Soul Edge and turned into the Evil Seed. Obviously, Namco still had big plans for the story, and the franchise. The interlocking biographies and story lines were of great interest then, and still are now, as Namco releases Soul Calibur IIto much cheering and clashing of virtual weapons.
  4. Soul Edge -- Soul Edge'
Consistently referred to as the "evil sword" throughout the series, Soul Edge has a reputation for devouring souls. The weapon is ... known to be a shape-shifter – which form it takes depends on its current owner. Only those with great mental discipline can retain their will while wielding this weapon.[1] In the games, a common trait of selecting Soul Edge as a combative weapon is that it depletes the health of the player whilst giving increased attack power or even draining an opponent's health upon contact. Either way, it is not unusual for the player to lose the battle as a result of weilding the weapon, regardless of the opponent landing the finishing blow, and thereby living up to its in-game legend of "consuming" its wielder.
  5. Soul Calibur
With flawless gameplay mechanics, characters packed with polygons, nearly endless replay value, and a soundtrack like no other, Soul Calibur is a game not to be missed. With a game like this, it baffles the mind as to why this console is now defunct. It's really impossible to ask much more from any game, especially when it was one of the first games for the console. If you own the console, you must own this game, no questions asked.
  6. Collective Soul
Collective Soul is in the news again after a few years out of the limelight. The Atlanta-based rockers are back with a new album on their own new label, a new guitarist, and a collection of new Sennheiser gear. They recently embarked on a tour of the United States and Canada to promote the album release, Youth, on the El Music Group label. And the band recently invested in the new Sennheiser AC3000 antenna combiner--the first in the country--to go with six recently-purchased Sennheiser ew300IEM-G2 wireless monitor systems for this tour.
  7. Plato -- Soul
Like all the Greeks, Plato took for granted that the highest good of man, subjectively considered, is happiness (eudaimonia). Objectively, the highest good of man is the absolutely highest good in general, Goodness itself, or God. The means by which this highest good is to be attained is the practice of virtue and the acquistion of wisdom. So far as the body hinders these pursuits it should be brought into subjection. Here... asceticism should be moderated in the interests of harmony and symmetry -- Plato never went the length of condemning matter and the human body in particular, as the source of all evil -- for wealth, health, art, and innocent pleasures are means of attaining happiness, though not indispensable, as virtue is. Virtue is order, harmony, the health of the soul; vice is disorder, discord, disease. The State is, for Plato, the highest embodiment of the Idea.
  8. Soul Calibur -- Soul Calibur Ii
As you may have heard, Soul Calibur III is the first game in the series to be released exclusively for a PlayStation platform. There isn't an arcade version this time around, so in somewhat of a telling move, there's no arcade mode in the game...unless you count the "quick play" mode that's ironically buried several layers deep in the menu system. Quick play lets you take on a series of opponents in multiround matches, no strings attached, as you would in a typical single-player fighting game. The main single-player mode, though, is called Tales of Souls, and it's your obligatory story mode. You pick a character and end up taking on multiple opponents in single-round matches until you beat the final boss. Some text-based story stuff is there between matches, and some halfhearted attempts are thrown in to let you influence the story by choosing your next destination or by interacting with a few of the cutscenes.
  9. Legacy of Kain -- Soul Reaver
The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 is a 3rd person adventure game, more similar in perspective to Soul Reaver than the first Blood Omen game. The player controls from behind Kain's shoulder and can move him in different directions, attack, jump, use "dark gifts" and grab on to ledges. Kain's life energy steadily depletes and must be replenished constantly by drinking blood. Blood is found by consuming any living creature nearby, often requiring defeating an enemy through combat first. As Kain consumes blood, his meter is filled up. Once full, Kain gains additional health.
  10. Soul Calibur -- Games
Unfortunately, Soul Calibur 2 is not innovative and adds nothing at all to this generation of console fighters. It is basically the same game released on the Dreamcast some years before. That's not to say the new Soul Calibur is a bad game. In fact, it’s the opposite of that. It's what you would expect from the next game in Soul Calibur series. It plays almost the same as it did on its older Dreamcast brother.
