Sonya Smith has a well established career in healthcare, working first in the clinical realm, primarily as an EKG technician and patient advocate, and then moving on to physician and executive recruiting. Her B.A. in Healthcare Management from the University of Toledo further adds to her acquired skills. She joined MDA’s Emergency Medicine team in January 2000, at the encouragement of another MDA staffing consultant she’d come to know while working in contract staffing. Sonya works with clients and physicians in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. She is still going strong after nearly ten years in recruiting, crediting the long term relationships she’s built with her clients and physicians for her continued enthusiasm.
