Sony is going to be increasing its on-site presence at all NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series events. This includes those events where a limited number of categories are participating at NHRA POWERade Series races. The increased presence will include a new NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series-branded interactive tractor trailer display, promoting the Xplod line of car stereo accessories. Sony is sponsoring a season long register-to-win Xplod sweepstakes. The winners will take home one of Sony's three Scion Tc demo cars equipped with the latest offerings of Xplod systems.

The Sony Dothan facility was the first in the United States to produce both VHS and 8mm videotape. Today, the plant continues to produce consumer and professional videotape, as well as audio voice and music grade media, along with digital data storage products.

Sony Ericsson has revealed their newest Stereo Bluetooth Headset. The device is designed to provide superior sound that is wirelessly streamed directly from a phone or Bluetooth device. Some of its features include digital noise cancellation/echo reduction to reduce background noise and A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) for high quality sound to listen to music. It ... features a multipoint function which allows the user to listen to music on a Bluetooth enabled notebook and handle calls from their cellphone at the same time. It’s battery life offers up to 6 hours of talk time or music playback. The headset was designed with comfort in mind and provides three sizes of soft silicon ear buds to ensure an perfect fit for the size and shape of the user's ear.
