DJing wasn't an innate talent Sonique simply picked up. Once she felt the passion of partying, especially dancing, she wanted to spin the records she and her fellow clubber wanted to hear. So after intense training, Sonique mastered DJing after 3 years.

Sonique is a respected DJ throughout the world. She has appeared in several parts of the globe. From Egypt to Israel, Russia to Romania, and Singapore to South Africa (where she recently drew a crowd of 30,000)

In the last two years, Sonique has alternated international DJ gigs with writing. She has guested on tracks with Mogwai and Novy producing some of what have been described as the best underground dance songs of 2003.
