   There is no pretty story here, just the gritty truth of growing up in the system on the Baltimore streets but...Snoop is a survivor. While other 12 year olds were in school Snoop was learning the drug game. While other 14 year olds were starting high school, Snoop was standing before the judge being sentenced to an 8 year bid. She finished school while behind bars and earned an education the hard way. Snoop was released 6 years later in 2000. Her pretty face showing no sign of the struggle life had been for her so far.

   Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg (or earlier in his career as Snoop Doggy Dogg), is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. 3. Snoop Dog -- Snoop Dogg
   For the third time in as many months, Snoop Dogg has been arrested on weapons charges. On Tuesday night, the rapper, 35, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was arrested as he left the Los Angeles studios for NBC's Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Police say they found a gun and drugs after searching his car and home.

   OK, so maybe when you think of VH1, Snoop Dogg isn't the first name that pops into mind. But apparently, MTV's younger-than-its-always-looked sibling is determined to change that. Yesterday, the cabler launched The Score, its online search for the next best hip-hop producer. And come September, VH1.com will pimp a special section of the site for VH1 Hip Hop Honors. read more
5. Snoop -- Work
   Sure, that is one of the cool uses for Snoop-It Stick. Let's say you have a computer at work and you want to see if anyone uses it while you're away from the office. You install the Snoop-It Stick monitor on your computer, and take the Snoop-It Stick with you. Any time you like you can plug your Snoop-It Stick into another computer somewhere and check to see if anyone is or has been using your computer and what they did.
6. Snoop -- Albums
   In an interview with XXL , Snoop sheds a little light on the inspiration and direction on his new album Ego Trippin. Many months ago, Snoop said Amy Winehouse inspired him because she was different and didn't have any collaborations on her project. That spirit has definitely proved to play a large role in the creation of Ego Trippin.

8. Snoop -- Rappers
   Snoop Dogg then dabbled in his own self-branded offshoot of the popular if distasteful "Girls Gone Wild" DVDs in which hard-partying young women flash body parts for amateur videographers. At the same time, the rapper-actor became a ubiquitous pop culture personality, appearing as himself (or satirical variations thereof) in commercials, cameos, comedic guest spots and late night talk shows. After voicing Ronnie Rizzat for the Jamie Kennedy comedy "Malibu's Most Wanted" (2003), Snoop ... had a vital cameo as himself in the hit comedy "Old School" (2003) and re-teamed with that film's director Tod Phillips to appear in the satirical big screen remake of the 70s TV cop series "Starsky & Hutch" (2004), playing the superfly informant Huggy Bear opposite Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the lead roles. That same year he took on the recurring role of Slim Daddy in the lesbian-themed Showtime series "The L Word." Trading on his well-known ability to get high, Snoop slyly took on the role of airline pilot Captain Mack for the urban-oriented comedy "Soul Plane" (2004). Snoop then lent his laidback persona to the bloodhound Lightning in the combination live-action and animated comedy “Racing Stripes” (2005).

    Born Calvin Broadus on October 20, 1971, the soon-to-be-christened Snoop Doggy Dogg grew up in Long Beach, California. He received the nickname "Snoop" from his mother, who used to lovingly tease him about his likeness to Snoopy of the Peanuts comic strip.
