Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan.

This is one of the best Snes emulators available on the net. Has full sound support and great compatibility. Its close to beating ZSNES but not quite just yet. Like ZSNES it has SuperFx support. The win9x version has 3dfx support and netplay!

Outrageously expensive when released the SNES version of Street Fighter Two was very close to the arcade original. New versions of this are still being made today on the likes of PS2 and GC.
Don't confuse GBA Pocket SNES Advance with the one made by Bleeding Edge for PocketPC. If you are looking for the Pocket PC version go here. Also if you are looking for the official homepage made by VampireHunterD go here.

This is a quite thorough documenation of most aspects of the SNES. Released back in 1994, it is probably the first, if not quite the only, document you will need to learn the architecture of the SNES. In addition to providing information, the document ... includes a basic demo with source code which demonstrates how to interact with the SPC700, among other things.

The snes mouse uses the same timing and protocol as a regular pad for it's buttons. The left button is reported at the 9th cycle, and the right button at the 10th cycle. The snes recognizes the mouse when the bit at the 16th clock cycle is low instead of high.
