Slade is the chart-topping U.K. 70’s glam rock band with outrageous style. Their out-of-this-world costumes were always a hit. They’re still living as large as ever with a new Slade compilation of lesser-known rarities, "In For A Penny: Raves & Faves."

The Slade family has been building in the Las Vegas Valley for more than 50 years. Slade initially specialized in building community projects and large-scale military installations. These projects included millions of square feet of elementary, secondary and high school facilities, as well as airplane hangers and warehouses at McCarran International Airport. Slade has since expanded its building expertise to include: retail, commercial and office buildings, industrial development and over 100 custom homes. Slade’s land development proficiencies ... include: acquisition, feasibility, entitlement, mapping, design and all aspects of on-site and off-site construction.
In college, Slade followed instructors who specialized in classical forms of teaching. After years of study in anatomy, composition and two-dimensional design, he began the extensive study of past Masters. Through international travel, he focused on the work of Rembrandt, Renoir, Whaterhouse, Bouguereau, Turner and Homer. The influence of these great artists can be seen in Slade's work today.
Slade Slade were praised by their fans for their critically acclaimed live shows and their long string of hits. During the height of their success, Slade out-performed their chart rivals Wizzard, Sweet, T. Rex, Suzi Quatro, Mud, Smokie, Gary Glitter and David Bowie. In the UK, they achieved 12 top five hits from 1971 to 1974, six of which topped the charts. In total, Slade had 17 top 20 hits between 1971 and 1976 including six #1s, three #2s and two #3s. No other UK act of the period enjoyed such consistency in the UK top 40 and Slade actually came the closest to emulating The Beatles' 22 top ten records in a single decade (1960s). Three of their singles entered the charts at #1 and they sold more singles in the UK than any other group of the 1970s.
