Take a Singulair tablet once daily, whether or not you have any symptoms. The tablet can be taken with or without food. If you have asthma, or asthma plus allergies, take Singulair in the evening. Do not use Singulair to treat an asthma attack that has already begun. It will not work fast enough to reverse your symptoms. Use only a fast-acting inhalation medication to treat an asthma attack.
