She ... thought the show, by showcasing her own personality, would help to distinguish her from Jessica.[32] In the show, some of the early stages of songwriting are seen; she is seen working initially with Steve Fox, and then meeting with John Feldmann of the band Goldfinger, Guy Chambers, and the producing team The Matrix. Later, she begins to work with John Shanks, who became the producer of her album, and she is also seen working with Kara DioGuardi as well, on "Pieces of Me".

NEW YORK - Jessica Simpson (news) wants her money for splashing a New Jersey auto-racing company's logo across her chest. The Smoking Gun Web site reports "The Newlyweds" star agreed to wear a shirt by Motorock in the video for her song "With You" as a paid product placement negotiated last year by her New York marketing team.
