Shopping Carts: Purchases
built 631 days ago
Can someone please explain the regional difference in shopping carts in the United States? In North Carolina and other Southern states, since the 1970s shopping carts are higher off the ground and have gates that open in front. The bottom of the basket is at the same level as the cashier's work station. At the checkout line, the cashier puts down the gate, reaches in, and slides the food across the UPC reader. You don't have to touch your purchases until they are already bagged. In New Jersey and the Northeast (as in North Carolina 30 years ago), the carts are larger, the baskets are lower and they have no front gate, so you have to reach down to take your food out.

Many shopping carts now allow for the calculation of discount rates based on the number of units a customer wishes to purchase. Coupon functions allow you to issue special offers as part of your marketing campaigns. Usually, prospective clients are given special codes that are matched against a particular item or overall discount rate.

Your shopping cart is super powerful. It allows your visitors to quickly select the items they want to purchase, automatically add them to their shopping cart, remove and edit any part of their order, and even provide details for the items they are purchasing. This shopping cart is very flexible and meet virtually any business need you will have.
