These 90-card sets were produced by Upper Deck and distributed in Wisconsin by ShopKo Stores across the state. Included in the 1996 set are Packer stars for that year such as Favre, Chmura, Brooks, Freeman, White and Butler plus Packer greats from earlier years like Hornung, Nitschke, Hutson, Gregg, Wood and Lombardi.

The ShopKo Scholarship is open to high school seniors and graduates who plan to enroll or who are currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school. You must live within 100 miles of a ShopKo store, be a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the following states to be considered for this award: California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wisconsin.
