Shine plays at some of the best venues and wedding reception sites in New England, including Boston Harbor Hotel, Glen Magna (Danvers), Boston Seaport Hotel, Red Lion Inn, Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Tavern on the Harbor Gloucester, and Castle Hill Estate Ipswich Not just a typical Massachusetts wedding band, Shine is a carefully rehearsed group of full time musicians who have performed both nationally and internationally. In addition to performing on local radio spots and on over twenty-five CDs, band members have appeared live with Peter Wolfe, The Temptations, Carly Simon, James Brown, ’Til Tuesday, Delbert McClinton, Natalie Cole, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Roberta Flack, James Montgomery, The Berklee College of Music Faculty All-Stars, Aretha Franklin, Santana, Johnathan Edwards, Rebecca Paris, Bronson Arroyo of the Red Sox and more.

The people who run Shine are mighty fine folks who associate themselves with really good people. They're generosity in donating their space for an excellent cause is awesome. Just the type of spirit San Francisco is known for.

DJs and live acts that have played in Shine include Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Deep Dish, Layo and Bushwacka!, Felix da House Cat and Slam, who have ran a Soma Records night at the club in the past. Phil Kieran is a former resident and regular guest at the club. BBC Radio 1 has held events at Shine in the past with Pete Tong and, unusually, Tim Westwood appearing in the main room.

LG's popular Korean phone, the Shine, has not only been updated already, there's now two new versions planned for an eventual release. The first, a gold-dipped hedonistic version, should ship for Korea's CDMA networks first before (possibly) heading everywhere else with a GSM version. More»

The Shine to Go survey revealed that although women tend to keep their shoes in better condition than their male counterparts, 41 percent never shine. Some reasons for resistance are that traditional shining can be a hassle and convenient shiners don't work on annoying heel scuffs. Shine to Go is the perfect solution since more than 80 percent of women report being in a better mood when they feel they look their best.
