1. George Jones -- Merle Haggard
   Prized as a duet partner, George Jones charted singles between 1978 and 2001 with James Taylor, Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, Ray Charles, Brenda Lee, Lacy J. Dalton, Shelby Lynne, Randy Travis, Sammy Kershaw, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks. To date (including his duets), Jones has had 13 No. 1's and 30 Top 5's.

   Ryan Adams is a hard working son of a gun. He is producing other people's records and recording himself, all on his own timeline. Which in relation to the current music business is fast and furious. At this point, it is not altogether original as well.
4. Bonnie Raitt -- Souls Alike
   Bonnie Raitt's been around long enough to have ghosts -- or at east friendly spirits -- all over the country. And she was feeling them when she and her band hit Ann Arbor for the fifth show of their North American tour supporting Raitt's new album, "Souls Alike."
5. Natalie Cole -- Album
   LiPuma, who has worked with Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, George Benson and Barbra Streisand, produced the first six tracks on Trav’lin’ Light. Fair, who produced half of The Dana Owens Album and has lent his considerable talents to Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige, returns to produce the second half of Trav’lin’ Light. The album was recorded at the legendary Studio A at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, host to notable recordings by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee, among others.
6. The Cranberries -- Band
   Now, with their fifth album, Wake Up And Smell The Coffee, The Cranberries reveal a quiet exuberance that only be found in a group that is at peace with itself. At the same time, this fresh and optimistic approach is counterbalance by the band's return to their core sound, as they team once again with producer Stefphen Street, instrumental in the success of their first two albums. and smiling.
7. Amy Grant -- Albums
   During her award-winning 30-year music career, Amy Grant has sold more than 30 million albums around the world. On October 2 (October 1 outside of North America), Amy Grant’s first-ever career and label-spanning hits collection, Greatest Hits, will be released around the world in CD and Special Edition CD/DVD packages and digitally. In the U.S., the new title will be released by Sparrow/EMI America Records.
8. George Jones -- Tammy Wynette
   In 1970, Jones' relationship with Pappy Dailey was ended and he began working with Wynette’s producer, Billy Sherrill, at Epic Records, subsequently recording several more hit songs. However, Jones’ personal life took a turn for the worse as he fell victim to heavy drinking and cocaine addiction, which resulted in increasingly erratic behavior, including beating his wife and missing concert dates. Through it all, Jones continued to record with Wynette. Jones kicked off the 1980’s in a big way, winning a Grammy Award along with several Country Music Awards for the song "He Stopped Loving Her Today.” In 1983, he married his fourth wife, who helped him get over his addictions and record even more hit songs. The move was made to MCA in 1991 and George was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1992. Upon moving to Nashville, he resumed touring, performing at over 100 gigs each year.
9. Steel Magnolias
   Although Steel Magnolias was a Broadway hit, later adapted into a star-packed film, many Y-chromosome types may not have seen either version. For the men, the story centers on six women living in a small southern town. The gals include the Jesus freak Annelle (Camden McDaris), the crotchety Ouiser (Betsy Ross), the frail Shelby (Kim Ehly), matronly Clairee (Janet Luhrs), and Shelby's mother M'Lynn (Jo Haden), who all periodically gather at Truvy (Jeanne Lehman) 's beauty salon to gab. Consisting of four scenes set over three years, Steel Magnolias chronicles the events of women who could be anyone's family or neighbors, whose problems could, and do, happen to everyday ordinary people.
10. Nelly -- Nelly Furtado
    Nelly Furtado is the daughter of ethnically Portuguese parents. Growing up, Nelly Furtado was musically gifted and began learning trombone and ukulele at the age of 9. She learned keyboards at age 11 and was composing her own songs by 13. In addition to supporting her musical ambitions, Nelly Furtado's parents instilled an ethic of hard work that has served her well. After graduating from high school, Furtado moved to Toronto to pursue her musical dreams.
