During her childhood and youth, she developed a solid appreciation for Celtic music as she and her dad sang together while performing chores on the Ryan farm. She spread her wings musically when she entered her teen years, joining folk troupes, traveling the country, and entertaining as part of a variety revue, and becoming a member of a country group. Before relocating to Canada, Ryan appeared on television and radio programs in the U.K. After relocating to Victoria, British Columbia, she appeared in concert and as part of other ensembles throughout the Yukon Territory, Alberta, and British Columbia. Her festival appearances include stops in Ireland, England, Canada, and the U.S. ~ Linda Seida, All Music Guide
