1. Blue Shark -- Blue Sharks
   Lithe as a snake and graceful as any bird, the Blue Shark (Prionace glauca) is among the most beautiful of sea creatures. Its long snout pocked with large, white-rimmed eyes, elegant, scimitar-shaped pectoral fins, and flanks of brilliant ultramarine render this shark easily recognizable. But a cluster of subtler features make it ideally suited to the challenges of the open sea.
2. Blue Shark
   Blue Shark is part of the envisioned 400-acre New South Ocean Resort being developed by New York real estate investor Roger Stein in conjunction with Meadowbrook Golf. The complex ultimately will include luxury hotels, home sites, a beach club, retail center, mega-yacht marina and casinos. “Norman was brilliant in preserving the best elements of the pre-existing course and dramatically enhancing and modernizing them,” said Stein. “Greg is a one-of-a-kind visionary. He saw things others didn’t. The finished product speaks for itself.”
3. Great White -- Sharks
   The Ultimate Encounter - The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is the one shark that seems to strike fear and terror in many people. Also called the White Pointer, White Death, White Shark and other names, this is the largest flesh eating shark in the ocean today.
4. Tiger (Panthera) -- Tiger Sharks
   Tiger sharks are noted for having the widest food spectrum of all sharks. They can eat almost anything, from turtles to birds, as well as other sharks and fish. Besides normal prey they even eat garbage like tires, nails or car license plates, as sometimes documented by examinations of their stomach contents. For this reason they acquired the reputation of being "garbage eaters" and were considered primitive. In reality, it is exactly their diverse food palette and unique chewing mechanism which today puts them into a different light, for their apparent lack of specialization indicates a much higher development. Tiger sharks are special because they feed on a broad spectrum of prey rather than being specialized on specific prey.
5. Peter Benchley -- Sharks
   Washington - Peter Benchley, who inspired fear in swimmers around the world with his novel Jaws only later to become an advocate for sharks, has died at his home in Princeton, New Jersey. He was 65. more
6. Sharks (Hockey Team)
   With Brian Campbell, the Sharks are 3-0 and he has two assists. These wins are different than the two against Philly and Pittsburgh on the road trip. Those were ugly, boring, pre-Brian Campbell wins. With Campbell, the Sharks look like an offensive hockey club instead of just plain offensive. For the first time all season, the power play is clicking with four PP goals in three contests. Campbell is fun to watch and what a difference watching him effortlessly bring the puck into the attacking zone instead of Carle/Ehrhoff making a poor pass or dumping the puck in. Everyone’s game has stepped up.
7. Shark Tale -- Movies
   Both the Windows and console versions of Shark Tale are amusing to play. Kid-testers loved interacting with the characters from the movie; and the hip hop and R&B music licensed for the games (including Outkast, Will Smith, MC Hammer, Sean Paul and Ziggy Marley) had them toe-tapping as they swam.
8. Great White -- Great White Sharks
   Since the release of the movie “Jaws” in 1975, the Great White Shark has been a much maligned animal. Demonized in the movies and feared the world over, these sharks have been pursued and killed with reckless abandon for decades. Now, as populations are in serious decline this shark is finally coming under some protection. SCUBA Divers are traveling to remote sites to witness these animals in their natural element and biologists are attempting to study them with ever more sophisticated techniques and tools.
9. Great White -- Great White Shark
   Great White Sharks are large, rare, warm-blooded apex marine predators. It is estimated that they mature at 12-18 years for females and 8-10 years for males. Maximum length is 6.4 metres, though specimens of up to 7 metres may exist. Great White Sharks reproduce only one every two to three years and produce between two and ten pups per litter. 10. Dardanelles -- Attacking Turkey
    Occupation of Turkey - On the 10th, as a large Allied Fleet prepares to sail into the Dardanelles, and pass Constantinople into the Black Sea, they are preceeded by the British destroyer "Shark" and French "Mangini". These are the first Allied ships to reach Constantinople. On the 12th, the main fleet, after extensive minesweeping, passes through the Dardanelles, and anchors off the Turkish capital on the 13th.
