For almost 10 years Brett and the Shadow were strong advocates for maintaining and improving Joe Albi Stadium. Brett worked to jump-start improvements by investing almost $200,000 of the team’s money in stadium improvements.

Shadow's default racing gear is his skates, a variation of his Air Shoes, which are called "Darkness". He can ... use boards and bikes, and other characters can use his skates. Shadow plays no part in the story, and only appears as an unlockable character.

The Shadow Academy housed thousands of explosives that could be detonated from afar. For if Brakiss failed in his endeavor to raise an order of Dark Jedi, or if he were to prove rebellious, the Great Leader would need a means to punish him and remove any threat that his Dark Jedi might pose to him.

Soon after hearing Dr. Eggman proclaimed that he "has no past to remember", Shadow discovered a half-destroyed Shadow robot and realized that he too might just be a robot. Later, Team Dark defeated the Eggman's Airfleet and discovered that the person they had been chasing was a fake. For as the team ran to continue the mission, Metal Sonic, of whom had been hiding under the guise of Dr. Eggman the entire time, claimed that he had successfully copied the Ultimate Lifeform data (Shadow's D.N.A.). As Shadow continued his mission, he stated that "even if I'm not real, I'm still the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog!"
